At Martino’s Ballroom we will listen to your ideas and assist you in turning your dreams into reality. Our individual approach gives you a unique day that’s undeniably yours, based on your own plans.

Civil Ceremonies

Licenced for civil ceremonies, we can accommodate up to 130 guests. Ceremonies take place in the stunning Ballroom and can be set up and staged any way you choose. Be traditional or be wild and wacky, it's your day so you decide.

Once you have chosen your preferred Wedding Date, we will hold it for you provisionally for two weeks with no obligation; this is to give you time to make other required bookings, i.e. booking the church or registrar. Once you have confirmed your date with us we will require a £100 non-refundable deposit to secure the room. Final guest numbers and payment of wedding invoice are due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

 Wedding Breakfasts, Feasts & Buffets

We understand as trends and traditions change, as does people’s expectations of the perfect wedding day. Some choose the traditional wedding breakfast while others opt for a brunch, lunch or a buffet.   We will try our upmost to cater for your requests or for a small charge we will allow you to cater for yourself.

Our set menus are a good guide to help you decide what is right for you and your guests, but most importantly it helps you work within your budget. Add, change or remove whatever you like, we are confident that we will tailor a package to your needs. See menus below.

While our luxurious regency style Ballroom provides a great setting for your wedding photographs, Seaham's stunning coastline is located just a short stroll from the venue. Use the rugged character of Nose's Point or the lush scenery found at Seaham Hall for the perfect wedding album.

 

Whats the cost?

Well that all depends on what you want. Nothing is set in stone at the Ballroom, it's your wedding so we believe that you should decide what you have, not what the venue says you can have. We can help you arrange everything or nothing. Our prices are honest and upfront with NO hidden extras!

 

Basic Ballroom Hire

Basic Ballroom hire starts at £150 for a half day and £250 for a full day. This price is based on Martinos providing the catering for the event and includes bar staff and waiters.

 

Want to cater for yourself?

We will allow you to provide your own catering but charge an extra £100 on top of the room hire fee, and require a £100 refundable deposit that is returned once all food has been cleared away and removed from the building.

 

Master of Ceremonies

If you require a Master of Ceremonies, this can be provided for an additional cost of £125. A master of ceremonies assists in ensuring that the day runs smoothly and all events are conducted in an orderly fashion to your requirements. They are also responsible for ushering guests to the correct places at key times, make announcements and introductions, direct speeches and toasts, and liaise with any photographers/florists/room decorators that you may have arranged.

The Ballroom Suite is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed drinks reception after your wedding ceremony.

Lavishly decorated, we are proud to announce the use of the ballroom, restaurant bar and lounge for your special day. Following the Wedding Breakfast guests are escorted through to the restaurant bar or lounge whilst the ballroom is reset for the evenings entertainment. Our in house wedding co-ordinator will give expert consultation on layouts and requirements prior to the event. Take advantage of stunning nearby coastline for extra photography, another little something we can organise for you. We also provide a stunning choice of Wedding Breakfasts, using only the finest local produce and request all guests choose a set menu, taking into consideration dietary requirements.
